GOD STOPS ETERNITY
FOR YOU!
God squeezes a tiny window of time into the vastness of eternity to allow man to enter into His everlasting domain!

The new millennium has officially begun and a whole new world of challenges awaits. Information multiplies recklessly, technology explodes. For the addictively curious this is a wondrous time. But the manner in which we use and process these volatile advancements seems to depend greatly on our basic world view. Was the universe;

#1 - A natural, self created one that's become self governing,

or is it,

#2 - A place created and governed by God?

This is not a question of religion, it is a decision each of us must make as to how and where life began and where it is headed.  Which one you choose determines how you view life as a whole and will greatly effect how you live it, how you treat others, how you face life's challenges, and where you place your priorities.

As a child I had no doubt that this was a place created and overseen by God. But the teenager and young adult lived more as if #1 was true until, in my mid-thirties, I had to face serious adversity. After experiencing facets of both views, I'm convinced #1 is not only impossible but irresponsible. These days, the view of God's existence and the search for "spirituality" may be more acceptable, but there are far too many options (see Matthew, Chapter 13's story on "the Sower") and one must approach wisely, with great care and discernment.

Even in my wildest days, I don't ever recall actually doubting God's existence, but it wasn't until I studied and applied God's Word (the Bible) that I began to know that God is available to us here and now, and that He does care and that He is also in control of everything. I've come to realize that although God gave man choice and free will, our control is like that of the toddler in a car seat. We have some control over our immediate surroundings but basically were limited to making a lot of noise and a mess. As to who's in control of everything else including where the car goes, there's no question, Dad is. And when it comes to this world, I rest in the fact that that's not only true in my life, it's true for the entire universe! Our heavenly Father's in total control!

I'm indebted to those who took the time to share with me the hope for both this world and my fellow man. But in lieu of the dominance of world view #1 and the confusion in view #2, continually making that contagious is a challenge. Many forget or don't know the simplicity of God's plan for man.

In Job (Ch. 38) God delights the angels with the marvels of creation*. With today's technology, we can see the incredible similarities of subatomic particles through the electron microscope and the vast universe through the most powerful telescopes. As I stand back and look, I'm in awe of the creativity and the fact that size, time and distance are nothing to this God who places a window of time in eternity just to allow fragile human beings in. It's not enough for Him to create this magical environment of sight, sound, taste and more, He actually chooses to become one of us. He takes it further by willfully dying to cover our mistakes, just so He can have a relationship with us. This, to me is,  well...it's incomprehensible. But this is what God, Himself tells us He did, is doing, and continues to do!

If you haven't done so already take a look at the Time Map below. You'll notice there is a beginning, a middle, and an end to time as we know it. And this is exactly what I believe is the hope God gives us. He tells us all the pain and suffering will soon be over and that this life, in this age will be but a whisper or vapor in the wind compared to the unimaginable eternity He has planned for us.

Why? A crazy little thing called love? Love? For some, it's difficult to see love through all the suffering that goes on in this world but that's where I see the real hope for the future. Hope in pain and suffering? In a sense, yes. Most all who have really experienced serious pain, or have suffered through a drastic event have come out of it with something unique built into their character. God Himself, who came in the form of a man named Jesus, died for all pain and suffering, for all people, for all time. Yet, He was not complete until He went through His time of pain and suffering on the cross!

But He died 2,000** years ago, why does it continue? The answer is simple, So you could be here! And just what am I supposed to do? Here is what He told us, that during this time on earth we get to learn how to carry our own cross. The fact is, none of us are complete until we face some sort of travail and learn how to surrender and depend on Him. We each reach that point under uniquely different circumstances and at a different time of our life. But He's also told us because many will continue to refuse, worldly troubles will increase until the time of the great tribulation as mentioned in the books of Daniel and Revelation. During this time the whole world is given a wake up call, and even though it sounds terrible, the end result is good!

What? The death and mayhem in Revelation is for good? Yes! Let me put it this way, we're all familiar with cancer, the world has a large tumor, if it's not removed it will continue to spread and all will die. God designed this world for man, but because God is perfect, He cannot be a part of the imperfection of this world, so, God Himself took on all the imperfection through "His Son" the ultimate "Jewish Doctor" who cures all cancer. This was His plan from the very beginning (Genesis 3:15). Understand, this is the only way people can have true freedom as in: free choice, free access to the universe, and the ability to be in the presence of God!

When does all this take place? Watch Israel! By the looks of things, the rest of the plan is soon to come to it's end and a new age (a prophetic Day 7, a day of rest, a Sabbath?) begins, again exactly at His predetermined time. And in this new age He will be with us physically as our only God and King (Satan is bound and unable to influence us during this time). The earth and more importantly our relationship with God Himself will be renewed. Then the end of the Millennial Kingdom brings in (a prophetic Day 8, a new beginning just like our week!) the new heaven and earth which sweeps us into eternity. The simple truth is, all who's heart is for God will be with Him in this eternity.

It's that simple. Are you ready?

*Think about it; Job 38 tells us the angels sang and shouted for joy as God created. What makes more sense, six literal "days" (or rotations of the earth) for a perfect creation? or 15 billion years of a slow, gradual development with death and extinctions? Which would impress you? I'll admit, the Biblical stories can appear so wild they are out of this world, yet, when you look closely they are extremely precise. I'm convinced either all of the Bible is true, or none of it is!
**Hopeful romantic? Here again I'm guilty, but about 2,000 years ago Jesus said he was going to return for us "soon". Hosea Ch 5 & 6 tells of the "Lion of Judah" who leaves and "returns to His place" because He's rejected, but "After 2 days He will bring us to life. In the 3rd day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight." Consider II Peter 3:8 "...one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." This coupled with what is happening in Israel, and the fact that Jerusalem is becoming "the trouble" for the entire world (as predicted) leads me to believe the Lords return may be very soon, perhaps in "this generation!"

GOD

God creates light, the heavens, and the earth. (Genesis 1, John 1:1- 5) Gods divides waters from waters and makes the firmament. God gathers the waters, dry land appears, grass tree and herb are made.

God makes the sun, moon, stars and planets.

God creates all sea animals and all birds. After the flood they will die for us!

God creates all land animals the insects and then one man and one woman!

God calls everything good then He Rests!

in eternity.

1. God has a one on one relationship with man until man allows himself to be deceived by the angel Lucifer.

2. After man's dealings with the "accuser" (Satan) God promised a
redeemer.
(Himself,
the Messiah).
(Genesis 3:15)

3. This redeemer would come through the line of Abraham
(Gen. 12:3),
Judah, (Gen. 49:10)...
8

4. And more
specifically from the line of David
(II Sam 7:13, Matthew 1 & Luke 3:23 to 38).

5. Messiah comes and He dies a brutal death for the sins of the world (Isaiah 53 & Psalms 22). Israel rejects Him. (Hosea 5:14 - 6:2)

6. Israel will recognize Him after the whole world will come against them. (Ezekiel 38, Daniel, Isaiah, & Revelation.

7. Messiah returns and sets up His thousand year kingdom. Jerusalem is the Holy City. (Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel & Revelation.)

8. The eternal Kingdom with a new heaven and a new earth for all eternity!

Musing Time

When did "time" as we know it (linear and always moving forward) begin?
Does "time" ever end? Can we know?

There are only two basic schools of thought, either:

1) time always was        OR         2) time had a beginning.

Now think, who could possibly know? Only one source has answered my critical questions, the God of the Bible. Surprised? Take a look, in John 1 He says all things, everything was created by Him, for Him, so even "time" itself seems to have had a beginning (much of science points to that also, that time did have a beginning). But  was it; at the "Biblical Creation" (the creation of light or a sudden "Big Bang"), on "Day One", on "Day Six" (the creation of man) or perhaps even later say at the "fall" of Adam & Eve? Perhaps time itself is part of the curse. We know that from God's own Word that one day, time will be no more, in fact one day all "the old order of things will pass away" (Rev. 21:4).

I don't think we can know for certain, for if God created anything in "eternity" (i.e. before time) it couldn't be measured and it would be impossible to "date" how "old" the universe or anything in it actually is. The way I see it, nobody can pinpoint exactly when God's window in eternity allowed time to begin! What God does tell us is that;

"In six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them" (Exodus 20:11)

This was God's model to work six days and rest the seventh, or Sabbath. The Bible also seems pretty clear that the time from Adam to the present day is approximately 6,000 years! God works in the patterns of 6, then 7.  Does God have something planned for the seventh millennium?

Things to ponder; God told Adam if he ate of the fruit, in that "day" he would die. Adam lived to be 930, just short of a 1,000 years. (The oldest? Methuselah, only 969!) The Messiah's Kingdom is 1,000 years (Revelation 20:4 to 6). These hint that "a day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day." (II Peter 3:8) Man's oldest records, the Jewish, Chinese and Mayan calendars all fall short of 6,000 years. Watch, Israel is a nation again and the whole world's attention is on Jerusalem, mere coincidence? No, it appears God is in control, Messiah has come and will return again!

I'm convinced it's very possible that God has set the 6 "day" work week, rest the 7th, with a new beginning on the 8th as an example that after man's toiling for 6,000 years, he gets to rest and worship God in the 7th (as it was meant to be in the beginning! Also see Rev 20), and the 8th (Rev 21) starts a whole new beginning!

I believe the day has come that we should be looking and preparing ourselves, our friends and relatives for a "Sabbath Millennium" soon!  I think the world is warning us it's time to put off the things of this world and to set our hearts and minds on the good works of God. Then, in those days ahead, we will then be able to enjoy God's good works.

Bottom line I see time like this;

¡ETERNITY  IS TEMPORARILY  SQUEEZED INTO A SMALL FRAME OF TIME - ONE DAY IT WILL BE  FREED!

And so will we!

Interesting display on how God runs the numbers!   Lucky Sevens?

The # 7 is the number for divine perfection and appears 287 times in the Bible (287÷41=7), we also see "seventh" 98 (98÷14=7), "seventy" 56 times (56÷8=7) and "sevenfold" 7 times. We see the number 7 in many obvious ways; 6 day creation-rest on the 7th, the 7 churches, 7 candlesticks, 7 angels, 7 stars, the 7 seals, trumpets and bowls. God's direct commandments used 7; work 6 days rest the 7th, work the ground 6 years let it rest the 7th, observe 7 festivals every year, after 7 - 7's the following year is Jubilee and many many more. We also see 7's in God's creation; the musical scale of 7, white light splits into the 3 basic colors which divides into the rainbow of 7, which can be bled into billions? And Enoch, 7th from Adam didn't die!

What does all this mean? It seems God has something for seven, it's said to be His number for completion. There is no doubt in my mind there's exciting times ahead. I see no way out of future troubles for the world itself but God, Himself had a plan for a safe way out, and in the end He will bring about peace to all the earth. That's His Word.

The more I learn about this book, the Bible, the more I learn about everything. I find it's value in this day and age not only mind boggling but a necessity! But the only way to find that out, is to read it with an open heart and mind!
