In the beginning was God (the word
Elohim is plural.)
In this "Father" "Son" & "Spirit" there was perfection, harmony and unity.
Then God created angels for the heavens, and man, as master of the earth.
(As a Man, created in God's own image, is it any wonder we love to create?)
All worshiped God until one angel's pride created rebellion, and a heavenly
war ensued. Man was deceived, and he and his world have been taken hostage.
So God sent His own "Son" to earth, undercover, on man's behalf.
Man must choose to fight with the resistance, lead by the
Son of God Himself, or go his own way.
What would he choose?
What will you choose?
I
believe that is the true story God wants us to know...
and with it I can make
sense of the "real" world
around me. Here's how I answer;
Four Questions Concerning Life
Who am I?I could be a chef, a doctor, a lawyer, a husband, a kid but God says without Him I am spiritually ...alone. But when I gave my heart to the Christ, when I realized He came here to rescue me from myself and my own selfish desires, I received His forgiveness and became both free and a child of His, forever. There is no higher honor or calling in all the universe. There is no greater reward or adventure to be had in all eternity.
Why am I here?
When the risen Christ left He said: "I go to prepare a place for you." In the meantime, He's also preparing me for that place, right here, right now. That's the sole purpose of this life, to learn to love and trust Him. It's that simple. In the end, nothing but my relationship with Him matters. One way He gets us ready is through our relationships with others. (See C.S. Lewis's excerpt in the Foreword.)
Where am I going?
The choice is entirely up to me: Choose God's way, which is a relationship of faith and forgiveness through Christ, and I get to live, forever, with Him on a perfect Earth, with no death or corruption. It will be a "Heaven" beyond our wildest imagination. Choose any other way and I'm completely on my own...that is what God tells us Hell is. (See Luke Ch 16:19 to 31.)
What am I supposed to do?
I simply accept His gift of Grace, accept His invitation of love. I give my heart to the One who made it. I've learned life is fun and dangerously exciting, but I've learned I can trust Him!
If you think you got it, if this makes sense to you then go...Go and tell.
